My Mission: “Stress Free, Gentle Grooming: Where Every Dog Feels at Home”

I am a certified groomer who believes every dog deserves gentle care and plenty of tail-wags. From soothing baths to precise trims, I focus on comfort, safety, and a stress-free experience—so your best friend walks out looking and feeling great.

Because I keep appointments one-on-one, your pup gets undivided attention and the calm environment they deserve. I love partnering with pet parents, sharing tips for coat health, and celebrating each dog’s unique personality.

Hi! I am Sydney Sperling, owner of Prairie Girl Grooming. I’ve always had a passion for caring for animals and expressing my creativity, and dog grooming has become the perfect way to combine the two. There’s nothing more rewarding than helping dogs look and feel their best while creating a calm, positive experience.

I grew up on the farm near Craik, with my parents and two older sisters, surrounded by lots of animals and chores to be done. I am creative and quirky, and I value being transparent and working hard. My journey started with a Diploma in Recreation Therapy, where I developed a deeper appreciation for compassion, patience, and using creative ways to foster a positive experience. Those values continue to guide the way I care for every dog I meet. I have five years of professional grooming experience and a lot of passion for your pet. I’ve had the privilege to work with all breeds, sizes, and personalities, and I truly believe every pet deserves individualized, gentle care.

The inspiration for my mobile grooming business came from my own puppies, Ember [Husky/Lab], who keeps me busy, and Opie [Husky/ Border Collie], who has anxiety, which has inspired me to chase my dream to make every dog feel loved and safe with me. I also share this life with my boyfriend of eight years, Christopher, who is a Paramedic and Firefighter. Together we enjoy all things outdoors including hiking, camping and spending time with all our animals (dogs, cat-Sam, fish, and our gecko- Georgia).
